Help me with a CO2 Question
Okay, I saw on a grow video (from pot.tv) that if you cant afford a CO2 tank (which I cant) the next bext thing is to get Club Soda and a spray bottle.
My question is this: Once flowering begins, do you mist the club soda onto the flowers also, or just the fan leaves ?
Please help :thumbsup:Uruk-Hai Reviewed by Uruk-Hai on . Help me with a CO2 Question
Just a heads-up I seen something for sale that looked pretty good. It's a small bucket that has fungi or something inside there that releases CO2 at a good rate for a few months.... it was a grow product and cost £100, you can find it on a few websites but im not sure of the exact name.
I've also heard of using carbonated water is feeding but I havn't looked into it. Would be interesting to hear more about the club soda..

Help me with a CO2 Question
no this process it used to release CO2 into the air in the room. burning a candle produceses CO2 also, but this is not safe or practical keeping a candle burning all the time. if never heard of using clubsoda to produce CO2 but then again i'm no Magiver. But if wouldn't go spaying clubsoda on your plants til you know exactly what your doing with this, could #uck up the plant.

Help me with a CO2 Question
soda water, sparkling water, i think they all contain carbon dioxide to give them a punch. the key is carbon, that is what the plants need. i noticed in "I Grow Chronic" that this method was used and it appears to work. i have done it to my plants once already with no adverse effects. i will continue to do it. as to whether to do it on the buds or just the leaves, i would think only the leaves need it, that is where the carbon is used. spraying on the buds can't be helped at times in an attempt to get the leaves, but i don't see it hurt mine any.

Help me with a CO2 Question
Thanks for the responses guys! since colorockman told me that burning a candle releases CO2 I have left a candle in the room (very small about 6x2x7) during the light schedule and when I am there.
mordok, I saw that in the I Grow Chronic video also, that is why I was so curious.. It seems very legit, just unsure about the buds and the leaves, Ive been told it may be able to cause mold.

Help me with a CO2 Question
Have you ever heard of "excellofiz". They're tablets that you put in water and it realeases co2 into the air. Not as cheap as club soda or candles, but a whole lot cheaper than a co2 system.

Help me with a CO2 Question
I guarentee you there is no sugar in club soda. All it is is WATER that is CARBONATED. Its exactly like regular water... only... carbonated... So i dont see how it can mold plants or cause mildew... please someone help!
As for the tablets you place in the reservoir.. Each tab only last 8 hours... and thats a lot of money :/

Help me with a CO2 Question
does anybody remember sience class? Remember making paper mache volcanos with the bicarbonate soda and vinager? well heres how it works. The reaction of baking powder (bicarb) and vinegar is used as an example of an irreversible reaction.
The nature of atoms and molecules is touched on enough to explain the reaction - how a solid (bicarb) and a liquid (vinegar) combine to make a gas (carbon dioxide).
Moral of the story get a container make a mini volcano in it in you growroom. Doing that once a day should do the trick!
