Cannabis for Clincal Depression?

Well hey everyone... i am extremely high right now since my dealer still had this really bomb shit. It may have tooken him like 3 hours to get here but lol he was here and i got a quarter. Theres just so many crystals on the buds!! anyways down to business, I want to go to the doctors and say that i would like to smoke marijuana for the purpose of clinical depression. Its kinda a long story but im going to explain it. Last year around febuary or so i had to go to the mental health place to be diagnosed with something because of my suicede attempts and my cutting problems. They diagnosed me with Clincal Depression. I then started seeing a counsler and i was put on Zoloft. My mom thought this was going to fix me. I then went through this for awhile until april. In april of last year was the first time my lips touched a pipe and i smoked sweet marijuana. After this i stopped taking my Zoloft and i was still happy. THen at the begining of the summer i deciede i couldnt take my mom anymore and i pulled the "if u dont let me live with grandma im going to kill myself stunt" it worked and now i live with my grandma, i smoke atleast a bowl a day now and i have been doing this since august. I havent taken my zoloft since July and Im happy. THe problem is i get really depressed if i dont smoke weed atleast once a day, if im not high once a day i get depressed again. So my grandma always makes sure i have it. I would like to present this to the doctor and say that i think medincal marijuana would be right for me. In this time ive been high i thought of the perfect quote for me
"A bowl a day keeps the depression away." Its so perfect for me anyway does anyone think this would be a valid reason to submit to a doctor? My counsler which i havent seen since end of june knows i smoke weed.
Any help appriciated sorry for long post, just been on my mind

I've been on zoloft as well, didn't have much of an effect on me. For me, nothing seems to work as well for depression and anxiety as MJ. Long time ago my last shrink advised me to take it, if it had been available then or I had access to it I'd probably be in a better place now.

I think it depends what state ur in aint to sure on all the medical laws for smoking cannabis is USA id try and find out though.

i was on zoloft too. i was really introspect and paranoid and had a coupla panic fits.
second day on it i was up and about and really got it back together.
found i didnt need it anymore after awhile.
now if i smoke too much though, or non stop i can relapse very easily, though nowhere near as bad coz i know whats going on and talk myself out of it etc.
you may find weed will bite you in the ass one day.

I agree that a good sativa with an up high can make you feel less depressed, BUT smoke an indica strain with those knock out couch highs, and you will feel more like killing yourself than before you smoked. Indicas are good for ppl who need to smoke for physical pain but if mental pain is what ails you, stick to the up high....And Penguin, share!!! LOL

dont agree with any chemical drugs. i suffered from depression for years and decided one day that i had had enough so i changed the way i thought and have not suffered from depression since. i have smoked doobie since i was 12 years old and am still going strong. depression is a thing of mind, so wake up and take control of it.

Depression isnt on the list of ailments for med pot in canada either. Personally i think its because there is no test for depresion, its just the persons word that they suffer the symptoms. Too bad because pot works fairly well for it. I would rather see people on pot than zoloft or paxil, those drugs are evil
