Do I Add Full Strength Nutes when starting Flowering?
I think I know the answer but thought I'd check.
I have 5 week old plants and I use botanicare Pro Pure Grow with every watering. the plants look good I use 5ml per gallon then water it down a little when I pour it into the Watering Jug. However I did not start at 5ml per gallon I started at like 2ml and worked my way up. I ahve switched over to flowering now.
Should I go this same way in the flowering stage work my way up to 5-7ml per gallon with botanicare Pro Bloom, or because the plant is reached maturity (Uneven nodes) Is it ok to start at 5-7ml?
I was going to use the Botanicare feeding schedual when i started but they say to add more nutes than I have been adding. by week 4 i should be at 30ml per gallon on their schedual. To be honest I like to use the LESS IS MORE tecnique with Nutes now, Because I have lost plants in the past from over Ferts...
Im guessing you ease the plants into the New ferts like anything else. But I just want to double check.
As well when should I add small amounts of Sugar. I have read that 1/2 to a full tablespoon of regular sugar per gallon will help give my plants some extra sugars "Carbs" to the ones already present in the plant while flowering. Don't know how ture that is and If I should bother perhaps Pro Blend Bloom already has enough suagrs in it. Ill have to read more on that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Kindly...

Hmmm,,, Seems Cool, It can't hurt to use less though to see what happens. I would hate to go full and then find nute burn.
Any Ideas about the Sugar?

my brother is a florist, and he says you put sugar in water of vases for CUT flowers to help keep them fresh. As a gardener for over 30 years, he says he never heard of using sugar on growing plants, but couldn't realy tell you wether it would be good or bad. hope this helps.
love, brookegrow, or grow not. there is no try.

You have to remember that when you switch your lights over to the 12-12 cycle that the plants are still transitioning for 7 to 10 days from veg to flower mode, so you may want to wait about a week into 12-12 to start your bloom nutes. And yes, I would bump them up, but I know that all don't, that is just my preference, all though I don't start off at a quarter strength I start off at about half strength or a little more.

Hope you haven't put processed sugar in your water?!? I dunno what it'll do other than draw ants, but you can do it. If you wanna use something sweet (pun intended) on your plants, botanicare (pure blend pro maker) makes a sugar based additive called "Sweet". This will be available to your plants, white sugar will not. Also, you can use--with great success--an unprocessed (raw) sugar called "Sucanat". That stands for Sugar (Su) Cane (ca) Natural (nat). Any of those "Buffy, bring the Beemer" foo--foo organic veggie stores will stock it. Rich people get off on unprocessed shite, makes 'em feel dirty. At any rate, Sucanat will make the plant taste simply excellent, not sugary but more of what it already has. Good Luck mate.

If your giving it 5ml you shouldnt boost it too high, you should graduately work your way up, too much too soon can be bad.
