Your regular doctor will, in all probability, not give you a RECOMMENDATION (not prescription) for cannabis. He would lose his medical license if he gave you a prescription for pot! Recommendations are another story. Heck, my doctor even admitted that he used to smoke in med school, but he's too scared of the feds to be a "pot doc"! I had to travel 75 miles to see a cannabis specialist. Check with NORML for the names of cannabis-friendly doctors in your area. You will need your medical records(without them you don't have a chance with my cannabis doctor), any pills you have been prescribed and between $100 and $250 to pay the doctor. My doctor will not give a recommendation to anyone under 18 unless both parents are there and give permission in writing. I am mildly bipolar (Mom was REALLY bipolar- I'm just rather moody) and cannabis does keep me "leveled out". Good luck!
