i was blazing with 9 other kids in the woods nd the cops came luckily i had nothing on me, and nothing in my car but i might be getting charged with eluding arrest since i tried to run. what i want to kno is if i had to be read my miranda rights cause i wasnt. im only 17 if that helps at all too

Do they read peoples rights when they are not of age? I have no clue, so forgive me if it sounds dumb.

Im from the UK so i'm not positive but i think they should officially read you your rights, however just because they don't does not make the arrest legally void, it's extremely unliekly you can make anything of it, i.e no, not the fact that they didn't bother with your rights doesn't really grant you any protection. I doubt you will be in much toruble, if you are polite to them they probably won't charge you.

I don't know, but if u find out they were supposed to, sum ppl have actually gotten off bc the po po didn't read them their rights. Shows em right, but seriously u should look into that.

Ya, if they arrested you without reading you your Miranda rights you may have a case to get out of. I'm not 100% sure you'll prolly need some sort of legal representation.

I've run from the cops before and gotten caught but they've never charged me with eluding arrest.

Well you are underage, but I think they still have to read you tour rights... could be wrong though.

You weren't arrested...just detained...they have no evidence, this sounds like a shitty case to me.

You should get off easy...matter of fact they shouldnt even be harrassing you any longer already...they have no case.
