    Quick, Easy To Answer Question..

I belive this will be easily answered by some OG grower on this site, as as ive seen since Ive been here, theres alot of knowledge floating around here.

Anyways, Ive been around a couple indoor grows back in the day, and have the basic knowledge....and heres where Im at.

Someone I know planted about 100 seeds (half of decent random nugget bag seed/half mids) in june-ish, and I havent been to the grow as of yet, but I do belive he clipped ALOT of males out...and moved and is continuing growing the best looking plants.

Well its now coming to the end of the grow (he doesnt have that much knowledge I dont belive...aabout as much as me, maybe less).

Well anyway, It's been rainy around my area latly, not too bad but its getting that time again where the seasons ending and its been on the avergae 55-60 during the day and getting low as 30s in the nights/early morning.

I offered to take in his plants and dry them for him.

I am just wondering whats the basic process of doing this?

I belive all we need to do is cut down, all the plants.....bag them in garbage bags to transport to the house....and cut major stems from the main plant...best i can and hang upside down to dry with minimal fans blowing throughout the room...is this about right?

About how long does this take for the buds to be manicured and cured in jars....and is there any basic tecqniques that could help this along. Im not sure how many plants he has that are ready...but I belive its like 20-30.

But we need to get on this NOW, as its gonna be very rainy the next few days and getting colder.

    thanks

This should answer all your questions- http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/G...c%20Topics.htm

But yeah, just cut them down, hang them to dry for about a week, then cure them like it says in the guide.

    Quick, Easy To Answer Question..

    hey guys,

thanks for the advice and link.

ive been reading the last hour, and i wanna show you guys my plans...hoping for some more input, just to make 100% i got the right idea.

i found out tonight, 14 of the plants have been cut down and are at a spot...with a few more still planted and ready to be cut.

plan is to cut the others tomorrow and bring to the 'drying' spot.

Tomorrow, I am going to complety vacume the room and remove most of the things in the room, and sanatize the entire room with your basic sanatizer, just to be sure it's clean and ready to go.

I have a room, with a closet with 2 openings (one is your basic closet), and the other door is the water heater. Would you reccomend using the closet and room, or just the room because of the water heater directly next to the closet?

In this room, theres a heater....which I am able to keep the temp in the 70's (going to purchase a temp gauge tomorrow also).

I plan to hang half the plants in the one closet....which has the perfect bar setu for hanging, and for the rest, I plan to use a rop setup....in a corner of the room, and hang. I have been told to keep the humidity at 50-60%. My question there is, whats a good way to keep the humidity at that and whats the average cost of a gauge to tell me the humidity %?

From what I understand, I need to keep this room dark (theres a light and a window in the room), but I am able to put a blanket over the window, to keep the room at a dark setting. I am able to turn on the light to check the plants correct?

So I belive I need to let these plants hang for a good 5-8 days...or until buds are crisp. where the stem snaps when bent....

Now, when I get these plants, I belive there all still the main plants, is it best to dry complete plants....or trim off branches and dry a mixture of the plant and the branches?

Once to the crisp point, I am going to cut and manicure the buds and put into sealed jars....opening for air daily...I belive I need to bascially let the buds get wet in the jar...and open to let dry...and so on, right?

Thats bascially everything I really need to do.....I am wondering what the average time is good to keep the buds in the jars...a week or week and a half is what I was thinking.

When the buds I have manicured are put into jars....where is the best place to store the jars?

and if anyone has any other advice for me, please let me know. Starting tomorrow or whenveer I get this started, I can work on some pictures, for more advice on how it is coming.

I dont know what kinda harvest were looking at, but its around 20 plants that were grown outdoors.....so Im hoping to get 2oz-3oz per plant, as I belive some of the plants were up to 6ft tall.

thank you for any advice and look forward to getting this all clear and ready to go at it

whoa there...it's pretty early yet to be harvesting all but the earliest flowering strains. this current cool spell won't last and it'll be warming up again for at least a couple more weeks...time your plants will most likely need to reach their full potential. surely you can hold off for a couple more weeks...

and no need to go crazy with the housekeeping chores...the room is going to be carpeted soon with leaves, bugs, dirt, spilled beer and other debris. a dirty cleaning room won't hurt anything.

i'll answer the rest after hearing you held off on the harvest...but it appears you have the rest under control.
