Willie Nelson Cited for Drug Possession

Willie Nelson and several members of his band were cited for drug possession in Louisiana early Monday.

Troopers stopped the singer's bus in Saint Martin Parish, the Associated Press reports. According to trooper Willie Williams, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana when the driver opened the door.

Williams said troopers searched the vehicle and found approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and about 2/10 of a pound of mushrooms.

Nelson, 73, and Tony Sizemore, 59, Bobbie Nelson, 75, Gates Moore, 54, and David Anderson, 50, were issued misdemeanor citations for possession of mushrooms and marijuana and then released.
