why dont you just start them in soil?
the cube isnt large enough for your plants to mature so you would end up transplanting in soil at some point anyway.
you will also need to have some hydroponic nutrients if you wish to start them in rockwool cubes of that size.
bejay Reviewed by bejay on . Rockwool - How To? This is a pretty basic question (so beginners section is right then), but I've just bought 8 3x3x2.5 rockwool cubes for starting my plants. A couple of questions. .1. I only grow in soil, and will be for this grow to. With the hole in the rockwool being 1" is it ok to cover the hole in soil and then let it grow (this should be ok, but trying to confirm things). .2. These are pretty big cubes, and I intend to only grow my plants to about 14" mature. Will I need another pot to put them in, Rating: 5
