Ah crap, I realize that in my post I lacked an expression of my respect for the opinions of others. And now I realize it's going to be very hard to reconcile that. I made a post in another forum section with a disclaimer at the top.. I'll copy it and paste here:

How do you know this? Please show me the research which you've done which proves this. Truthbetold, I haven't exactly done the research to prove that evolution IS happening. But I don't believe evolution as a religion so much as a name for the fact that the genetic code of any given species changes over time (long periods of time, at that.) because of a necessity to survive.

I did not know that about Darwin's father. However it's true that some scientists got their inspiration for the discovery of truths by strange things. I wish I could cite another example to support this conjecture... I'll work on that.
