My father's homosexual. Does that make me gay? I sure hope not, because that would really get in the way of my love of women. Granted, I'm more open to the thought of homosexuality, but in no way, shape, or form, did my father's own preference shape the way I live my life. Just because darwin's father was a satanist, does not mean that his scientific research should be seen as biased. Discrediting someone's work based on their family tree doesn't work, especially for those who believe in the bible.

I believe that Christianity, like most religions, have nothing to do with the dieties that represent them. Rather, it's about the thoughts and expressions related to them. What does it matter what you call yourself? As long as you show love and compassion to all living things (which is, if you haven't noticed, is the underlying message in most world religions), what does it matter under what denomination you classify yourself?
