My father's homosexual. Does that make me gay? I sure hope not, because that would really get in the way of my love of women. Granted, I'm more open to the thought of homosexuality, but in no way, shape, or form, did my father's own preference shape the way I live my life. Just because darwin's father was a satanist, does not mean that his scientific research should be seen as biased. Discrediting someone's work based on their family tree doesn't work, especially for those who believe in the bible.

I believe that Christianity, like most religions, have nothing to do with the dieties that represent them. Rather, it's about the thoughts and expressions related to them. What does it matter what you call yourself? As long as you show love and compassion to all living things (which is, if you haven't noticed, is the underlying message in most world religions), what does it matter under what denomination you classify yourself?

I have studied and read many books on the topic... I am not trying to put anybody down I respect the rights of anyone to believe what they want to but when someone tries to defend something that I know to be untrue I have a problem being silent...I study the scripture very detailed and know there is a BIG difference from what God has written in his word and the religions that man has made up and twisted to there own advantage. What I state is the same thing Christ stated when he was on this earth and is brought forth in the new testament..Remeber Christ was very unhappy with the religious society at that time he taught in the temples and corrected them..They put him to death. Believe it or not God is not happy with Religion in the world today Christians especially he states that many will come in His name claiming to be working for him in his name but they are liars sheep in wolves clothing deceiving people teaching for money and there own glory.. I can understand why some people become atheist when they hear the crap that one verse preachers throw out there...In the book of Revelation God states he is happier with those who are not believers then those who are and perpetrate lies...To understand Gods word you have to believe in Him and make an effort to study. I am not discrediting Darwin because of his father. I am discrediting the theory of evolution because there is no scientific proof that there has been or is anything in a stage of evolving into a new species, only adaptation..Why do you think that they have NEVER found any human remains in a evolving state?? or animals for that matter...Because it is a theory and not a real science.. I only put the info out there about his father because it may have influenced darwin i never said it was an inherited trait...

You still didn't answer my question. You have no idea how much I'd love to know how much different Christianity is than Buddhism, why belief in one man's presence as God means the difference between eternal joy or eternal damnation.

To me, it's all way too seperatist to respect. I mean, what of those in places where God's word is forbidden, what about the millions in China who don't know who Jesus is? Are they banned to hell because of their lack of understanding? What about the Christians who are also white supremacists and who commit hate crimes? Have they truly accepted Jesus?

To say that your way of thinking is right and all others are wrong is incredibly simple-minded. That's the problem with beliefs. No one really knows for sure, but most Christians that I have met act like they do. They're more like ideas, anyways.

And what is evolution but adaptation on a wider scale? It's hard to study evolution when our lives here on earth are so very short, in the grand scheme of things.

No offense, but if I wanted to be taken to a different website, I would have googled it myself. I came here for a debate, I want another human to type back to me their ideas and experiences. After all, how else will we all learn?

Do you know that in Gods word there is a time called the Lords Day..It is the period of 1000 years when ALL people ALL races will have an oppurtunity to learn the truth of GOD..This period is before judgement day therefore NO ONE is in hell now...The bible teaches this but religion doesnt..There is a big difference...But if you are unwilling to study then how can you learn about it???

Also, did you see God write the Bible, how do you know everything within the Bible is the ultimate and complete truth. After all, it's just a book. Also, interestingly, the idea of "truth," as all things in this world, is a relative term. Truth's are not so much discovered by humans, but rather invented as the most convenient way of explaining something. Relying blindly on a 3500 year old text as a basis for modern day beliefs sounds rather convenient to me.

And wasn't the bible actually written by Moses, Joshua, Samuel, Ezra, Jeremiah, etc. etc. at various times from close to 1500 B.C. up until the 90's? Then how is it all interpretted as God's will? Do you claim that all these authors of various parts of the bible were influenced directly by God to write the exact things they wrote?

By the way, I have not read the bible, nor do I claim to know very much about it. I expect that my information regarding the bible isn't completely accurate. However, at this time, I don't think I would listen to your interpretation of it, Budman, as I believe an outside, objective opinion is essential to learning about something.

The Lords Day will start after this dispensation of time ends. This dispensation of time will end when all the prophesy's written come to pass. Specifically when Satan appears on this earth and claims to be God or when the sixth seal, sixth vial, and the sixth trumpet or 666. This time is nearer then many think we are in the last generation before this event occurs..
