It's debateable. While I myself am unsure of this theory, I do know that the smoke is KILLER, and alot safer. As the water filters out alot of the bad shit. Thus, making the smoke alot more smooth, and less cough-suseptable.

Fact: Once you go bong, you never go back. What ever the facts are about being stoned more/less with bongs, I believe that bongs are just better. They're handheld instead of finger held, you can see the entire bowl alot better, and you seem (maybe this is all in my head) to get high a bit faster, using a bong. I didn't say you get MORE high...but I do believe it gets you high alot quicker. At times, it even comes on heavier.

I own both a pipe and a bong. So I may test this out this weekend, when I get some bud.
