Why are my seedlings streching?
Fubar, this is an easy one :stoned:
Your light source is too far from your seedlings. You probably have it far away so you can keep the temps down. The problem is that the light is too hot for your plants right now. I agree to go to Wal-Mart or Home Depot or whatever is near you and get some CFL's. You will be able to put the light very close to the seedlings and then they will start growing sideways intstead of stretching to reach your light which is 2 feet away from it.
Don't buy the 42W at Wal-Mart though, cause they are for flowering and they are warmer. Make sure you get the cool bulbs for veg. They should indicate that they are 6500 color temp. You don't have to worry about high wattage at this point in the grow since you're gonna get a stronger light to flower them. You can put those almost touching the plant so it won't stretch at all. A 3 pack at walmart costs less than $5 bucks. I use one on each seedling and they grow nice lush green leaves. Also, you need to bring the temps down under 80. Hope this helps.....Pass That Shit Reviewed by Pass That Shit on .
