I would need to see a picture to confirm that they are actually stretching...

1. it could be gentics (i doubt it)
2. the night time (lights off) tempertaure is higher than the day time (lights on) temperature ( i also doubt this is the problem)

If you would like to play it safe and end the stretching, get a 42/150 watt CFL (8-10 dollars at walmart) and put it less than 1 inch from your DARLING baby..

and ..... Lower the HPS 4-6 inches every day until it is 8 inches from your plant..

Have a fan blowing between your plants and your bulb,,, at a slight angle upward.. blowing the heat UP and AWAY from your plants..

Remeber, you will want to flower your plant when it has 4-6 nodes... 70 watts is GOOD for VERY SHORT plants..
