i totally agree. i sometimes have to order my supply from out of the country and it comes flattened, not quite like a brick but more like a magazine and about as thick as a national geographic. once i soft-steam them they're pretty much back in their original shape and no loss in potency as i get samples at times of same stuff from the same person that hasn't been flattened in the food saver. and back in the early to mid-70's we also got those jamaican bricks in florida and it was just as good as the fresh i had while visiting that beautiful island!
