We get a lot of "brick" weed in these parts. Some ok some not so ok, I know when they press weed down like this it crushes a lot of the trichs, hence the reason it's probably not that good. Do you think if you grew some if this brick, and obviously didn't smash the hell out of it, it would probably turn out to be some pretty good buds?? Just a thought... I know most of the "brick" weed that comes around here is from Mexico, and I know they've got some pretty good weed down there cause of the prime growing conditions. Maybe someday I'll give it a shot if I don't have anything else to grow. Also most of this weed comes with a decent amount of seed in it, so it stands to reason w/out the seed another jump in potency?? I don't know...just a thought.

seeds found in bagweed, or your bricks, will grow out fine, if not too terribly old ... their potency however, is a mystery, until its finished ... a lot of time, money and effort down the drain, if its not that good ... it is valuable as a learning tool for your frst couple of grows, however ... make your mistakes with free bagseed, before you buy the good seeds ... contrary to common belief, the presence of seeds does not affect the potency, (at least, not to the point it's noticeable), the plant merely stops growing during its flowering cycle, it doesn't stop producing THC ... :smokin:

My concern with Mexican brick is the variety.
If you want to pactice on the seeds from brick weed indoors, you are better off with Canadian brick.
Mexican brick is VERY likely to be sativa and take forever to finish, while growing too large for most indoor applications.
Canadian is going to be either indoor, or a fast-finishing outdoor.
Grow what suits your climate.
On the good side, you can get very acceptable results from commercial seed, and it will teach you a lot about growing.
And if you get lucky and find some plants that are great, then you can clone them.

the problem like stinky said is that the plants may grow to big.
brick weed's only not good because its produced comercially and harvested and packed and shipped in a mass-production way thats not beneficial to the end product.
seeds that germinate should be good, but due to origin, may grow to tall to be ideal for an indoor grow.

the reason brick is not as good is due to the fact that it was grown strictly for commercial uses and hasn't really been cured, but just dried and pressed and packaged. commercial bricks also contain seeded hermies and everything else in the field. peace

not all brick is commercial! the stuff i get is straight from the growers in the great white north and is only bricked for transportation purposes. it's the same stuff we buy from our favorite seed supplier and grown in our backyards and is just as seedless, potent and tasty as the fresh picked. you guys must have only been around the mexi-bricks...it's not correct to make such a blanket statement like that and will confuse others.
