Weed in movies i've always been curious, ive watched alot of movies and always wondered this. in movies they obviously dont use real weed but there is stuff that looks alot like it do you suppose its the legal bud they use? what is that stuff? I wouldn't imagine it being too hard to come across fake weed, especially if you are in the movie buisness. Its just another prop.

Mitch Hedburg told a joke, he said he once smoked fake pot in a movie with some guy. Then he said "Don't buy pot from movie sets" only it was funny when he said it.

Most of the time you don't even see the 'weed' up close though, so I wouldn't imagine it being too hard. A lot of things can look like weed from a far enough distance. Just get a bag of oregano, and if you don't want shake, take some wax and shape buds, try it sometime, it can look somewhat convincing.

I dont know but in some movies it doesnt even look like weed. Like in Half Baked that shit was literal grass (or atleast it looked like it). Only time I seen weed that looked real on t.v. was that weed on the show Weeds. And that weed could've been from a hemp plant that has no psychoactive chemicals in it at all anyways lol.

they could of easily got away with it. i think the way to do it is to make it so obviouse that everyone thinks they wouldnt be that stupid to smoke weed in front of the camera and that it cant possibly be weed

they call the stuff stunt weed that is used in weeds too and it looks real. although the guy that plays andy looks to get ripped whenever they smoke. if they dont do it it has to be due to some kind of added legal issue(other than just posessing and smoking it) otherwise theyd probably ust use real weed

i think its possible that they would use real weed, and then when they put it out in public, they just tell the athoritys it was just some grass or something

I've also been wondering this for ages, i've come to the conclusion that Trailer Park Boys DOES use real weed, it looks exactly like it, they grind it up, and smoke it. And then they have the issue with the feilds of weed. Like, yeah, they could all be plastic, BUT in one episode ricky took a blow torch to em so they must be real otherwise he would have smoked plastic.

then again it could just be the plant the legal budz grow from.
