Freckles on my top leaves?

I have been noticing that some of my top leaves near the buds have freckles on them. The tips and leaf margins are not burnt. There is just a speck here and there near the center of the leaf blades. What are they and what caused them?

just a quick guess ... carefully examine the underside of the leafs, and look for a very tiny speck (spider mites?) ... you will need a magnifying glass ... :smokin:

I used a pocket microscope and checked the underside of the leaves. I saw no sign of mites or any other insect.

one of my 11 day old babies just developed yellow freckles on one leaf. no sign of mites but doesn't sound like nute burn. I'm confuzzled too.
