    When to go to 12/12

What are the determining factors in when to change the light cycle? How developed should the plant be? (2) plants, I'd say five to six weeks from seed, and have had 24 hours of light every day since I've started them.

really depends on your grow room and lighting they are old enough to switch now or if you have a large grow room with adequete lighting you can wait and veg a little longer not sure if they are showing their sex yet but should show it very soon if they havent already.
you might consider clones on future grows as it eliminates wasting space with possible male plants and also allows you to flower a small plant no waiting for the plant to mature.

Yeah, there's some small preflowers on two or three of the newest nodes on the main stem...small thing looks similar to stipules with a small hair protruding..I'm about 87% sure that the biggest plant's female and the smaller one hasn't develped preflowers quite yet..

I've read that once you start 12/12, the plant grows somewhat rapidly at first, then begins to flower...How much more would my plants grow if I went ahead and went to 12/12?

you should wait until your plant has alternating nodes...but u said that ur plant has preflowers .. then it is deff mature enough to flower.and yes they grow very rapidly for the first couple of weeks in flower.. they can double even triple in size.

wait until the alternating nodes ... I have had a strain (Cinderella99), that showed preflowers 2 weeks before the nodes started alternating ... just a trait it had, but it was best to wait for the maturity ... patience pays off in yield ... :smokin:

would expect it to atleast double in size if you switch now a larger plant can yield more only if you have the space and good lighting.

    No problem.

Joking aside, spending 20-30 minutes searching and reading will probably answer any and all questions you have.
