There is a thread currently in the Cannabis Lounge having to deal with what kind of smokers you hate the most. It got me thinking about one of the best things smokers do: hotboxing. For those of you who don't know it by that name, it's a way of smoking where you and the group engage in a smoking session in a closed in area.

Thus, I begin my rant.

When you're boxing a room, let's say a bathroom, it's smoker's etiquette to smoke and let the room sit. You stay in that boxed area with your boys and you enjoy it. Boxing something is very beautiful and great things happen in a boxed room. Great jokes that last for a lifetime, brilliant discoveries whether it be music related or just the common epiphany that changes your life. I bet you that's what Einstein did...or maybe not, but that's not the point. It's just the true way a true smoker would do it. Enjoy it. That's what it's all about. Enjoying the moment.

So when you break the box, you open the door and leave. Sometimes people would come back, but if you do that to me, I will lock the door. Fuck you.

Huge fan of both. I've seen Alexisonfire about 3 times and it was amazing everytime. Dallas Green is one of my idols and I'd love to see him in concert.

Oh, and considering that I'm sober at the time being, I'm a little more iffy.

I agree to a point, because one time i was boxing out my friends car and we got the smoke so thick that you couldn't light the lighters anymore, it just wasn't possible, and the joints kept going out due to lack of oxygen, then one of my friends passed out. Needless to say we didn't crack a window and we ended up sitting there for like 20 min and the smoke finally disipated, but thats just because it went into our lungs from breathing.

It was funny toward the end though everyone was all 'Don't waste the smoke' and 'Just take deep breaths until the air is clear' well we tried this and we all proceeded to cough for about 5 min after each attempt at doing this.


Ahh fun times. I don't remember much about that day, or week, or infact the whole year of 2005.....

Hotboxing cars are so fucking fun. The reason it's fun is because I live near the country and we can like ride around even though we have no idea where we are at.

Haha. That is one of the best posts I have ever read, especially the closing line. During one month or so in the summer, my neighbor's always leave for some tropical place because they are rich as fuck. Anyway. They leave us the keys to their house and their Mercedes-Benz for some reason or other.

Anyway, me and three other kids rolled up three blunts and were boxing THE SHIT out of this Mercedes-Benz. It was a great experience. I won't forget it...actually, I pretty much have already.

Well Said... don't do that shit.. it's rude! Unless you gotta like barf or something and you want to spare everyone seeing it in the hotbox area.. that's well, ew.. but different.
