new room

started the construction of my new room today.it is going to be about 7 by 8 foot with a garden area of 3 by 6.ordering 2 400 watt hps making cool tubes for them.also ordering dayton 265 cfm squirlle cage and making an 8 by 24ish inch carbon filter.exaust fan will pull through the cool tubes and filter and vent out the roof.i will have 2 active intake vents on the oppisite side of the room pulling air from outside.3 sides of the garden will have permanent walls and the fourth which will be the door wall will be panda plastic.walls will be covered in mylar.and of course i will have 2 circulation fans.i am going to be growing ak48 and white widow...both from nirvana.i plan on doing c of green of course and hope to fit about 50ish plant in it.i will also be splitting up the harvest so widow is 1 month and ak48 the other.any guesses on yeild per month?i am guessing 12ish grams a plant.initially i am doing soil but when i get the cash i am going to build a nft system,probably out of the fence posts i hear home depot has.i will also be building a clone mama room which will be cfls on 18 and 6.maybe no walls so ventilation wont be a big hassle or expense.as for now here are some outdoor pics i will get you some of the new room once it starts coming together.i am also planning on reveging this pink beauty and grtting some clones off of her

I'm trying to "expand" my grow room as well. I have one 400W and want to add a second one. My room has a slanted ceiling so I'm trying to figure out which way is best for me. Post some pics of the room if you can. Peace

As far as yield, it's really hard to guess cause there are so many factors involved.

you should consider a 1000 watt lamp and a light mover or even better 2 600 watt lamps would probably be ideal for a 3 by 6 grow area.

The 2 sixes would be nice in there, but if you got the 2 400w's all ready then you should be good to go with a SOG applacation for the fact that you just drop them as close as you can an basicly this way you have a 1.5x3 for each light to cover wich will be cool coverage with the short plants, but if you have future plans to grow any bushes then you may want to plan a head and think about those 2 sixes. I think 10 to 14G per plant is possible with not to much work. Even more is possible depending on the strain.

putting the floor down now.will post pics soon.still gonna need some wallsLOL.will get done soon.the grow is in my attic so i to have a peaked ceiling.i am doing 2 400 because i dont want to use to much power.plus it will give me mid 50s per square foot of actual garden space.i wont get the garden actually going til i harvest the outdoor cuz money is a little tight at the moment.plus it is still pretty warm and i dont want to run air this year in it.i do plan on getting a portable ac unit next year though.getting seeds going soon that way by the time i get the lights i will be able to get cuttings.anyway i have work to do.....later

here is the shell for the most part....first pic floor and wall second pic almost done.still alot to do.ceiling isnt done yet.but it is an everyday attic ceiling.peak is 18 inches from one wall so the lights can hang there
