ok the fact that people cook stuff in there oven at only 350 degrees F is a good point......but there are people like me when BBQing throw aluminum foil over the grill to cook for at least 30 minutes........0.o

a very intertesting read, thats news to me. ive used it a few times and it didnt seem like it would hurt, it wasnt to smooth but whatever. i hope no one has to smoke out of foil though, i wish everyone could atleast a little glass spoon or something.

i agree, this needs more research and you shouldnt believe everything you read. needs more evidense i think, it was posted very casual looking, not like an official report so i dont know...what your self.

i use tin foil (AL) regularly when im out of gauzes....(which are either steel or bronze, proving neither of them are dangerous to health as that would be illegal to produce)....the maxtemp of your lighter doesnt matter as you dont have it on for that long (longer than 30s and the plastic will start to melt)
but regular butane lighter (eg. bic, clippers, crickets etc) do not have flame temps above 1000dF or even near that.....as you cant vaporise water by put the flame next to it for a second(true it slowly does but thats because i think that the actual temp is nearer 200dC (about 333dF)) even if AL gives you altzheimers....fags give you cancer...weed can lead to schizo psycosis etc..

Let me put your mind at ease, You can not contract alzheimer's disease by using or burning aluminum foil.

Not to go into to much detail, but alzeimers can be contracted in part, and on very rare occations by cooking certain foods ie tomatos, and some but not all, acidic foods with certain older types of aluminum pans. This has to do with the chemical and molicular reaction between the two. Also note its not all acidic foods just some of them, and not all aluminum pans, & its not the only way to contract Alzeimers either.

Using foil in your bowl, (which I have used myself when i've run out of stainless steel or brass mesh), is safe. Aluminum foil and aluminum pans are different anyway both cemical and molicular and its 100% safe to cook all food types using Aluminum foil.

One would however heat the foil a little first to burn off the harmless residue coating thats on the surface of the foil, which is produced in the making of the foil. I also heat all my mesh a little before use, this is so it will burn off any residue on the mesh, as the residue just marrs the taste of the green.

Its just another urban myth, along with "you can not get cancer by smoking grass only", sorry folks but you can.

Anyway I think we can safely come to the conclusion that aluminum foil is a close 3rd choice as what to put in your bowl, but what would be your 1st choice, (brass or stainless steel) and why?
