The point is that there was no reason to buy all those needless 'toys' until AFTER you had gotten high at least a few times. It's only then that you can truely appreciate those items, and not just lure in some poor helpless child to watch you eat weed and flip out.

Its A Plant does have a point, though it could have been said in a nicer way. It really is idiotic to spend hundreds of dollars on smoking equipment when you have absolutely no clue how you'll react to marijuana, or if you'll even like it. And you say you've tried Salvia and enjoyed it more? My friend, you must have had a very small amount of not-so-potent Salvia, because a true Salvia experience is not even remotely comparable to smoking weed.

Also, vaporizing and eating is really not the way to begin your journey with weed, in my opinion. When you vaporize, it's cleaner, of course, but you're only activating the THC; not necessarily all the other cannibinoids that contribute to the normal high felt by smoking directly, through a pipe, joint, blunt, or bong.

If you're still interested in truly experiencing marijuana and seeing if it's for you, I recommend smoking it straight, through a pipe. You may need a few times for the high to really hit you.

Anyway, I hope you can disregard the rudeness of the insecure, the stupid, and the insensitive. You'll find people like that no matter where you go. I would just hope there'd be less among the stoner crowd...guess not.

But I wouldn't blame him at all if he didn't, frankly, after reading some of the harsh responses he got. It's so important to let others have their own experiences, even if they don't correspond with ours or agree with our beliefs. Some of you who were the harshest with him surprised me because you're not usually that way.
