Tried Cannabis, Bad Experience
@ So you did it just to be part of the lifestyle, to be accepted?
Not really. I wanted to do it because of the experience. If I had wanted to try cannabis just because it would make me accepted, I would have done it a long time ago.
@ Why did you spend so much money on it?
Smoking seems kinda dirty to me. I try psychoactive substances for the experience, not the administration part. That's why I looked for alternative techniques to take the substance, including buying the vapor genie. This alone shows that I might be at odds with most cannabis users.
@ You should have known cooking would be too strong!
Yeah it was way too risky for a first time. I had read about how strong it was when people ate it. The problem is .. too little or much ... you take it all at once. The problem is concerning dosage. Variable tolerances + variable potency of weed = imprecise measurement. I should have started with .1 gram like the Green Dragon thread hinted at. The final dosage recommended was .12 to .24 grams of chronic (after being made into a tincture).
At that point, I was frustrated that the other method we tried wasn't working. In retrospect, I was too desperate to be moderate.
@ Why are you still here?
I'm still trying to understand what happened and I'm still kinda interested in the whole magic substances thing. For me, the whole drug issue is primarily about two things:
1) exploring our existance.
2) civil liberties.
I'm just trying to figure out why people risk so much for this plant and why they like the experience so much. Besides, how long do you actually think I can stay away from cannabis? Most definitely not my entire life.
@ The fresh stuff...
Yeah I should have chosen my words more carefully. I know cannabis is dried. I meant fresh as in recently purchased and reliably potent. You can't tell me that a little bowl of ganja sitting in a car for a number of months, through cold nights and hot days, exposed to vicious drafts of air, would be top-quality by the end of it. I know that light and oxygen = THC destruction.

@ Was your experience really intense?
To me it was. It had a huge effect on my memory and my thought patterns. Then time started repeating and going backwards. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember anything. I'm still planning to write it all up.
