Spider-mites in flowering phase, what to do?

You might want to read this! Dichlorvos is the same as DDVP. http://www.chem-tox.com/brevard/main.htm

Spider-mites in flowering phase, what to do?

PS--I use neem from the health food store. It stands to reason that a product made for human use is better than one made for garden use. And yes, I had mites this grow. Neem doesn't kill the bugs right away like organophosphates do. It is more subtle- it tastes bad (even locusts won't touch it),it smothers small bugs, it wrecks their ability to digest, interferes with molting and reproduction. I have done 3 sprays with neem so far and will do another in a week. The number of mites has dropped down to the point where I have to look at several leaves to find a single mite. I had a fairly heavy infestation. Neem is a medicinal plant. In India, it is called "the village pharmacy" because of it's many medicinal uses. Neem is virtually nontoxic to warm blooded creatures. For more on neem, read this-- www.firstrays.com/PDF/Neem.pdf I don't like the idea of injesting anything that has been polluted with a first cousin of nerve gas, like DDVP. Yes, neem is more work, but do you want to risk your health? Mother Nature knows best!  :stoned:

Hmmm.. Pest Strips really owned those spider mites. I left them out twice during the 'night' period with the exhaust fan off and BOOOOM! The other good thing about them is you can reuse this thing. Just fold up opened package and store it for later use, not sure how long they last in this state, this will be logged.
