    tiny space

I am setting up an area for 2 or 3 plants in a towel closet. approx 3 ft wide and 4 ft tall. can make taller easily. I have a 150 hps floralux. Is this adequate? Also, is a hepafilter good ventilation? Thanks!!!!

I have a setup very similar to yours. I just use 4 40 W flouros. they output almost no heat. HPS and MH bulbs output alot and unless you intend to keep your door open all the time (and let light out) it is a serious fire hazard.

rig up a fan to cool the top of your plant and that light....and consider using florecents on the side of the plant...dont give off much heat and it would help your undergrowth...thinking of building a cabnet here...just need good ventilation dude...it'll work. Just watch your heat in there...rig up a thermometer and watch the tops dont get closer than 12 inches from the light.

Grow an indica dominate strain and flower for around 45-50 days before inducing flower(around 1 foot tall), you would get monsters with enough space.
make sure your at the very least below 85 degrees F.

    grow for 45 - 50 day? I don't think so? (sorry , I don't mean to be rude
    That doesn't sound right..
In 45 days the plants will be HUGE... to big for the closet and definitley not enogh room to bud.. : )

Sorry bro, but I didn't name specific strains. And I'm sorry but
not every stain will be too hugh at 45 days believe me.
Take my stardust for instance only 10" at day 35 of veg
when I kicked them into 12/12, so I don't want to be rude
either, but your not even 75% right on your last statement.
    peace

believe me, most strains(i said most, not all) vegged for 45 days will out grow the space quickly, especially when using high out put lights, hell, even with floros they would get too big, unless you top em every week, but then they would be too big circumfirance wise(too bushy)
the only reason would be a rootbound plant, it would stop growing

    Howdy nota,

I've been using the rule-of-thumb,that says that one should veg for two months-before setting to flower. That's growing from seed of course-as for growing from clones,I thought that at least one month's veg time is required-if not 6 weeks..the veg time is for maturing and strengthening the plant to bear the weight of heavy flowers..or so I thought. A more mature plant-will be healthier and more disease and mold resistant..right ?

    Maybe I'm just being too old-fashioned...lol. The way I see it-it's kind of like cars and mechanicing,you can't expect much-in the way of performance-from a 4 cylinder car-vs an eight-cylinder car..and one can git more performance-by being mindful of intake and exhaust..and by supplying a quality air-fuel mixture. I'll take a rear-wheel drive,eight cylinder,heavy-framed car-over a pipsqueak ,uni-bodied 4 cylinder car-any day of the week...lol.

    Have a good one...Torog
