    Drug references in Cartoons.

Also, in the Mario video games there were those mushrooms that would make you big, an obvious reference to the hallucinogenic mushrooms from Alice in Wonderland.
Oneironaut Reviewed by Oneironaut on . Drug references in Cartoons. I just saw an episode of "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" on cartoon network and first there's a form of Yogi the Bear with blood shot eyes trying to violently steal a picnic basket. UHH MUNCHIES? then, glancing over just now at the end of the show there's a fake ad for "Mushcookies"...mushroom cookies that supposedly taste like cat..hahaha, not the first time i've noticed things like this in that show either. I love being in my older years and looking at these kids shows and Rating: 5

At Disneyworld there is this ride called "Splash Mountain" and when you are waiting in line there is this one place where this toad talks to you, and all you can see is his shadow, but he has a pipe in his mouth, and is talking all crazy and laughing and stuff, might just be a coincidence though...

My Lit/Speech/Drama teacher said that what happened was that during the time he wrote the book, opium was one of the most widely abused drugs. It was said that he HATED the fact that people were addicted to it, and sometimes openly pushing/using the drug.

He had grandchildren, and she told me he wrote the book to try and scare them out of ever doing drugs.

I don't know, either way, good movie, great book.

Btw, Billy and Mandy is effing AWESOME! That's one of my favorite shows. The entire thing plays out like a mushroom trip, Baby Face.

It's probably just because ALL of the artists for cartoons secretly smoke, and think it's HILARIOUS that they've been doing it since Tom and Jerry, and no one has noticed.....

    except now!
