help! Need an alternative to hps for flower

I'm in my second week of vegg in my first indoor grow, 8 in a closet.
right now i have 3 175w merc vapor hid's and a 48" fl daylight.
Suggestions are muchly appreciated!:thumbsup:

honestly (and i know someone will disagree) keep the MV bulbs as flouros is your only other choice and the MV gives out more lumens just the wrong color.....

dont get me wrong it will flower and you will get buds just not big buds but MV and MH make very potent buds

Why not add some Lower Kelvin Cfls with the MV 8 plants you'll need a good few of em..

Ditch the mercury lamp.
You're just wasting electricity.
Instead, add as many flouros as you can possibly cram in there.
Use CFLs above the plants and tube fixtures for side lighting.
The plants can touch the tubes without burning if you keep them watered.

thanks guys. right now i have to keep the setup i got, but i will refine as soon as possible. will merc vapor even work well for veg state? where can i get pwerful cfl's?
