oh and vicstar, hon, i think you're talking about what we call a shottie.. Shottie's are only good for when you're smoking hash..


you get a small bottle (a 500ml coke bottle or something) and make a small hole in it at the bottom (same as you would if you were making a bong)

then get a thin piece of piping.. the best size to get is one with the same diameter as a pencil, and about 8-10cm long

fill the bottle with water to just below the hole

get a pinch of tobacco and put it loosely in the end of the tube.. then crumble your hash finely onto a smooth, flat surface.. when youve crumbled enough, smoothen and even the hash out, and using the end of the pipe with tobacoo in, stamp down on the hash, filling the end with hash

then stick the opposite end into the bottle and make sure it goes into the water... hold the flame to the hash, and suck like a motherfucker until all the hash is gone and the remaining tobacco/burnt hash shoots through into the water...

Bongs, for sure! (By the way, I doubt seriously that anyone reading this thread is not already clear what they are) Joints waste a lot of weed since when you're not taking a drag there's smoke just coming off the end and wafting off into the air, but with bongs it all goes into your lungs, plus it's filtered too. Plus, a bong is ready to go wherever you have water but if you're a joint smoker you have to always have rolling papers. If your bong starts to taste nasty, just put in some fresh water and make sure you clean it every once in a while.

The only advantages I can see to joints is that they're portable (but so is a nice glass bowl, which I prefer) and you can smoke them in public if people don't get close enough to see it's not a cigarette. But I usually smoke in my room anyways so that doesn't do much for me.

Plus, I read somewhere that Bongs allow you to get more THC than joints. And I strongly believe that to be true, from personal experience. I always get high quicker with bongs. And my high is usually a lot nicer, usually bc my throat and lungs aren't as fucked up when I smoke from a bong. When I smoke from a joint, the smoke isn't filtered at all, so it ends up burning my throat.

Plus, imo a joint tastes like crap after a short while. The weed inside gets all burnt like, and tastes icky. Weed in a bong burns nicer and doesn't get like that. And like ermitonto said, if the bong starts to smell or taste funny, just change the water. And as I've mentioned, bong smoke isn't as harsh as joint smoke. But you get a lot higher from bong smoke than joint smoke. I love how it cools the smoke, without affecting the THC in it.

And yeah, the only good thing about a joint is that it's more portable. And it's more sociable, cause ppl are more willing to do a joint than do a bong (lots of ppl are scared of them cause they don't know how to use them). And like you, ermitonto, I too smoke in my room, so the joint being portable makes no difference to me.

What matters to me most is the taste. And bong weed tastes the best. Plus, you can easily control the amount of smoke. For sure you use far less weed than in a joint, which is also a major plus. I love bongs!
