Hmmm..seems to me that you need to look into the engineering of a proper bong, vicstar lol
It is easy to filter a pipe, without blocking it - how do you think that coffee perculators work?
Plus, you can always pass the Vodka through another filter before pouring it into a glass (like, an empty tea-bag, for instance).
Trust me, the taste is awesome - like fruity-grass flavoured Vodka..yummy!

Ah, but there are bong, and there are BONGS.
A knowledge of physics is very handy in these situations...

The human lungs (average) only have a capacity of 2litres, therefore, anything bigger is just a waste.
Then you have to consider the amount of vacuum required to 'move' the air in an efficient way - ie, bong volume vs lung volume (it's no good having 1.5ltrs of bong air, becuase you'd only be able to get 0.5ltr into your lungs).
Then you must consider the filter system, the amount of cooling fluid (ie water), and the rigidity of the reciptacle (will it stand the atmospheres that you are exerting on it?).

Any one can make a bong, but some can make a BONG lol
