Yeah, superthrive is safe for seedlings. It's not food (no NPK), just growth hormones like thiamine.

Distilled water isn't necessary or even really advisable for anything but flushing. Your regular tap water has calcium and magnesium in it, which are necessary for plant grotwth and resistance to stress. If you want to use distilled water, you are going to want to do what hydro folks do and add some CalMagPlus.

If you're worried about the chorine in your tap water, let it sit in a wide bowl overnight to air-equilibrate. Most of the Cl will evaporate.
stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . Tip of the main leave's dry? Hey I have a pretty basic question about the main leaves on my baby plant. It looks alittle burn't on the very very end of the two main leaves. I'm not 100% sure what the problem is because I've heard alot of different reasons it may happen, but maybe you guys with exp. will know better. Sorry for no pics, don't have a dig cam so I'll just describe it best as I can. The plant is about 5 inches tall and just now starting up, it has something like 12 leaves but only one group of leaves at the Rating: 5
