Tip of the main leave's dry?
Hey I have a pretty basic question about the main leaves on my baby plant. It looks alittle burn't on the very very end of the two main leaves. I'm not 100% sure what the problem is because I've heard alot of different reasons it may happen, but maybe you guys with exp. will know better.
Sorry for no pics, don't have a dig cam so I'll just describe it best as I can. The plant is about 5 inches tall and just now starting up, it has something like 12 leaves but only one group of leaves at the moment, Except the 2 small leaves closer to the bottom of the stem. The rest of the leaves look extremely healthy, with a soft silky texture all a somewhat dark green color. Like I said, it's just the very tips of the main 2 leaves and it doesn't seem to be a "Burn" but it is a dry spot. I've watered often, maybe a bit too often, so I'm thinking it's a case of over feeding it nutrients.
Thanks for the help.
Oh yeah, the grow area is pretty cool, if anything I'd think cold not heat would be reason it may die. This is another reason why I don't think those spots are Burn marks. Plus there is a fan to keep the air cool while the lights are on.Darkcloud Reviewed by Darkcloud on . Tip of the main leave's dry? Don't feed your seedlings until they have 4-5 sets of leaves.
And get a camera because then we won't be guessing. It's one of a grower's most useful tools, since you cant walk into your local nursery and be like, hey, what's wrong with this plant?

If you're worried about the chorine in your tap water, let it sit in a wide bowl overnight to air-equilibrate. Most of the Cl will evaporate.
