It didn't turn out so bad though. I misted my 12 day old seedlings once right after they sprouted and then again a couple days ago. Don't do that. The water on the leaves acts like a magnifying glass. I had read that but just didn't think. I had read it's good to mist clones so I thought, why not my babies. That's because clones ain't babies, need the humidity, and should be under weak light until they root. At 6AM my babies looked pale. I was freakin'. I figured that had to be it cause no nutes yet and only water every 3-4 days. Well I'm happy to report at 3PM they're perking up and even all are showing another set of leaves growing. I think I was bored after all the studying and physical setting up so I wanted to do something. But other than minor light adjustments and fan positioning don't do nothin' the first 3 weeks. At least don't be stupid like me and mist.

After the first week I mist my seedlings a couple times a day with no problem, they seem to love it. I know others that do as well. Maybe it is a strain thing. I use PH'd water and a few drops of Super Thrive.

Misting seedlings a few times a day raises humidity. Nothing wrong with that
I don't know how true the magnifying glass thing is. I've never noticed any damage in my garden from misting on hot summer days. Also, when you're at the beach and you're very hot, don't you feel much better when you come out of the water?

a combination of really warm temps + your misting + too much water at the roots made your plants get messed up. Hard to say though.

I also don't think that misting is the problem now. I was reading through some of that online grow guide from overgrow (it's cool) and the symptoms (yellow leaves but dark green veins) is an Fe defincency caused by the soil having too high Ph due to it's high organic makeup (you can see the rotten wood chips and shit in it) and also can be from the water Ph being too high locking the Fe out. My Ph meter "is in the mail". The UPS tracking site says it should be delivered tomorrow. So another guide said you could lower the Ph with vinegar. So I put less than 1/4 tsp. in about a qt. of water and watered my plants. They were due for watering anyway. I'll go get some dolomite lime tomorrow. and hope the meter gets here. Well lesson learned. Don't use cheap-shit soil.

By the way, Bear you might be right. Most of seedlings look different. One has long narrow leaves and two of em have short fat and are compact. I got 'em from BC Bud. They have a real bad rating. At least I got some. And I've read you also never really know what you've got unless you've bred 'em. Makes sense. I'm gonn pick-up some of that superthrive tomorrow too. Thanks.

you should keep domes over your clones to give them humidity

I know about the domes, thanks. My 3-way meter came today. I'm thinking bear was right about the strains. Only one of the four babies is looking sorta bad. And that ain't that bad. New leaves are showing. It's the biggest one so probably a boy anyway. The soil in the pots is all reading about 7.1 or 7.2. But I tested my well water I use and it's like 8.2! Ah, there's the rub. I also got some dolomite for raising Ph and some sulfur to lower. You can dust with that sulfur to kill the dreaded spider mites too. Anyway I'm hesitant right now to mess with the soil Ph much cause I've read how one of the most common mistakes growers will make is in screwing around too much trying to adjust Ph. I think I'll just adjust the water whenever I use it and go from there. Any suggestions?
