Filtering the smoke through cool water and ice will help (get a bong!), too.
Also, Birdgirl, I want to thank you for your wonderful and in-depth advice. I can't tell you how fantastic it is to have a (former?) smoker on here who also happens to be in the medical profession. Good luck with med school, and thank you again for what you're doing, both on here and in the world.

Anybody know some good lung-clearing methods?
LuckyNiner, thank you. For saying such nice things. For reminding me that what I'm studying is going to be used for the benefit of people when (and if) I finish med school. When you're smack in the middle of the classroom part of it, you totally lose touch with that fact. And thank you for teaching me. At the very top of those suggestions I posted above, I should have listed your tip, which is cardio-vascular exercise. That does more benefit toward keeping the lungs clear than anything.
Thank you for your kindness--and for showing me yet again how very, very much I can learn from others!\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

Anybody know some good lung-clearing methods?
Hey, Mr. Devious and others who read this post. I need to correct one of my recommendations from up above based on something I just learned about today.
In years past, it used to be believed that beta carotene helped prevent lung cancer and/or promote and protect lung health, particularly in cigarette smokers, and beta carotene was a standardly recommended supplement. But I just learned that the latest research has very much proved just the opposite, and I wasn't aware of these new findings till today. I'll post a link below.
These findings mean it's unwise for cigarette smokers--and indeed, possibly weed smokers, too--to take beta carotene supplements for lung health and/or cancer prevention, as everyone, including me, used to believe. In tobacco smokers, beta carotene has been strongly associated with an increased risk for lung cancer, even long after it's stopped.
So just to be safe, Mr. Devious, don't take beta carotene to help clear your lungs. My hunch is that you're probably not a cigarette smoker, but even if I were a weed smoker only, I think I'd still stay away from beta carotene since weed's another type of smoked vegetable matter, albeit a much safer and less heavily smoked one. We don't truly yet know enough about the link between smoked weed and lung cancer to be able to say for sure.

What you need is water......
Make sure you drink plenty of water...thin the mucus
Lay off the milk and cheese for a while to thin it more.....
Then take long, hot, showers, and cough up some lung cookies.
Do you have Asthma? Have you been checked?
water, and a little albuterol you will be fine.
