Vaportek Optimum Air Purifiers for big grows.

I see people using this on IC mag for large grows, 50 and 100 bucket set ups, but have never seen anyone over hear using it. I may try one this winter if I get the room to do a large grow. anyway hear is the info.
PS the 4000 is the one that iI have checked out on the larger grows.

Vaportek Optimum 1000 is similar to Vaportek Optimum 4000. Vaportek Optimum 1000 is Asian Model and 220 Voltage. For country that has 110v standard power,
reverse voltage converter 110v to 220v is required.

Odor Neutralization, Air Treatment System

Vaportek odor control systems employ a proprietary compound of select natural oils. With the membrane systems, oil compounds are hermetically sealed into
specially formed membranes that permit the oil to breathe through the surface of the envelope as a vapor. The disk systems use a special fiber element
that is impregnated with the same natural oil blends as the membranes. Both systems rely on convection to carry the vapor quickly wherever air circulates-whether
diffused passively or through the use of electrical or battery-powered machines.

Vaportek's compound is an odor neutralizer. It modifies the olfactory nature of unwanted odors to a point of odor disappearance. When two substances of
given concentrations are mixed, the resulting odor may be far less intense than that of separate components and not be perceptible. This is the principle
behind odor modification or neutralization, and the basis for Vaportek's odorneutralizing products.

When molecules of the several constituents of the Vaportek compound volatize into air, they react with the odor-producing elements of the odorous molecule.
The portion of the molecule that contributes the odor may be aldehyde, amine, diamine, sulfide, lactone, carboxylic acid, ester, carbylamine, ketone or
other carbons. These are highly reactive and are neutralized, or made inactive, by the interaction with the ingredients of the Vaportek compound. The Vaportek
compound is effective because of its intrinsic wide spectrum of neutralizing activity, combined with its high mobility in air and ability to penetrate
porous substances such as wallboard, wood, carpeting, cement, insulation and others to permanently neutralize imbedded odors.

The Optimum 1000 is a versatile dry vapor dispensing system that eliminates malodors quickly and safely, using a simple, spill-proof, replaceable air treatment
cartridge. Originally developed for use in cancer wards, the Optimum 1000 is now used in medical clinics, hotels and disaster restoration businesses worldwide.

As the air treatment vapor is heavier than air, it is recommended that the unit be placed relatively as high in the treatment area as possible. The unit
should be placed on a hard, flat surface, and should only be located where it is easily visible during normal operation. The front and rear areas of the
Optimum 1000 should always be clear of obstruction. For applications where security is a concern, an optional wall mounting bracket with padlock allows
for permanent installation and prevents unauthorized access to the output control dial. As with any electrical device, the Optimum 1000 should not be used
near or around water.

The Optimum 1000 dispenses a non-toxic dry vapor when the odor control liquid sealed inside the internal membrane of the cartridge "breathes" out through
the surface of the membrane as air travels over it. Simply uncap the cartridge, insert in the back of the machine and set the adjustable dial control for
desired vapor output. The dry vapor broadcast by the Optimum 1000 is carried by normal air convection throughout the treatment areas quickly and will permanently

Re read this myself and am really thinking about getting one and thought I would bump it up encase others are looking at some different oder control options. I use a carben scrubber, but may try one of these out on my new set up. Seems like it would make it more convenient to seal a room because you wouldn't need to have to vent out smell and revent it in or use dampers and have to place a scrubber somewhere along with a fan, just have one of these , AC and C02 set up and your ready to role.

You left out the most important information - what's it cost? Is it one of those things where if you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it?

I have found a 1000 version for about $300 and I don't know what the 4000 model cost. The 4000 may be over kill for the fact that it will cover a space of up to 2000 QFT.

Another thing that is nice about these units is that you just refill a cartrage every few months instead of messing around with charcole or a hole new filter.
A fellow, a moderator on IC Mag has used these on grows with 35 bucket grows and more.
