I can't sleep, either. I've been up studying, and I'm wired from drinking iced tea earlier. I wasn't hungry earlier, but now I am. Everyone else is asleep. I may eat something or take some Benadryl and see if I'll get drowsy. It's 12:45 here in Texas, and I have to leave for school tomorrow morning by 7:30 a.m. It'd be nice to be rested and sharp and alert when I get there, but that's looking unlikely.

I'm stll three years and 10 months away from being a doctor! And possibly a lot further away than that if I can't rest long enough to smarten up for tomorrow.

I think it must be the lunar cycles or something that's keeping us awake. I just went outside and walked around, calling one of my cats to come inside. The moon, which was full just a couple of days ago, was shining down. The cat was nowhere to be found. He's probably asleep under a bush.

You know what sometimes works for me? Camomile tea. I may see if we have any of that. Wish I also had something gooey and milky like tapioca pudding.

You mean you can't smoke till next summer? Gosh, that sucks.

Yeah, if you were accustomed to smoking a strain that helped you relax and go to sleep, you might be experiencing some slight withdrawal. I know folks aren't officially supposed to have cannabis withdrawal, but www.erowid.org says it does happen.

I ate some crackers. Then I lay down for a while. Still nothing. Don't feel a bit sleepy. I'm tempted to make some coffee and just give up and stay up all night and study. Might even be good practice for when I'm a resident. I know what'll happen, though. I'll be wide awake till about 4:30 in the morning, and then I'll finally fall dead asleep. Then I'll be brain dead after only two hours of sleep when I get to school tomorrow. And it never fails. If you're the least bit out of it or not on top of your game, whammo, that's when the professors call on you or ask you the tough questions. I'll be completely hosed.

Excedrin PM works decent, coming from a fellow insomniac (I can sleep like a baby during the day but nights are difficult for me.) Also I never remember my dreams at night but are VERY vivid during the day. I mean like I have a hard time distinguishing them from reality kind of vivid…when I touch things in my dreams during the day I can actually feel them…

Too true, Break The Cycle Folks!

I can't sleep unless I have a drink (soft) or tea and a cig. It's habit!
