Maybe you can't register another nic from that IP when you already have one? Ask a mod to ban you maybe?

Registration not meeting 'membership requirements?'
Hi,
A friend of mine had the same thing happen. They were here at my place, and I convinced them to sign up for their own account. They learned a lot from here about starting their own grow, and I suggested giving back by creating a grow report here.
A message went back inquiring about what requirements were not met, but no response was received. I did some searching around, and this thread was all that I could find. What are the requirements, and how do we know when we don't meet them?
Thanks in advance for any information!

The only thing I can think of is that cann.com only allows 1 username per I.P address.

What if you have several people who wish to maintain their own accounts, all under the same roof? It's likely that you'd be sharing the same IP address, through your firewall.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that it's a problem for users behind the same firewall, or using the same computer. Also, for dynamic address situations, like with dial-up, or just turning off your broadband modem for a while, this method of regulation would not work.
Thanks for the input! It is likely that the accounts were from the same IP. I signed off, and they immediately tried to sign up. Hopefully we can work around this, and it wasn't something else.

Well I checked over your account and I can't see any reason as to why it wouldn't be approved. We allow more than one user name but there are times when a red flag comes up when the I.P. matches someone that is banned. THIS is not the case with your account though.......

Tom, you have two user names already and there is a red flag with your I.P. that indicates that there is a banned user with a like I.P.(Neither of your user names are under a ban; just to make that clear!!)

Psycho4Bud,
Thanks for the response! I just sent you an email with the account name, to see if that was the cause. I didn't want to post it here, and have it associated with my account. I'd like to try to protect their identity.

Checked out the name and can't see any reason at all why that wouldn't have been approved. Have him try it again..........thanks for the e-mail!!
