    UPDATE ON MY FIRST GROW!!

    o yea the plant in the first pic got butchered by my lst lol. it was the first plant i tied and i ripped 2 branches off =x. u can also see my seedlings in the backround of my last pic. i dont know the strain but they came from these insane headies that was grown outside and got pollinated, so i was able to use there seeds. they have been out of the soil for a day and they are growing so much faster then my other plants did. Any idea why?

    UPDATE ON MY FIRST GROW!!

    Where did you get the first seeds? Also, be careful bringing plants from outside in, you can get bug problems real quick. With the LSTing did you tie the mane stem down first or did you try to tie multables down at one time. When you tie one down at a time when they are still young it stresses them less depending on how much you are bending them.
    Keep up the good work.

    UPDATE ON MY FIRST GROW!!

    the first seeds were bag seed. i didnt wanna buy seeds still being a noob grower. I tied more then just the main stem... thats prolly where i ran into problems. and yea im well aware of the bugs. the plant i brought in did have bugs but im fighting them as we speak lol. they havent went into my veg chamber cause its light proof from my flowering room. i check for bbugs everyday in my babies so im not to worried about that. and tnx for showing interest in this thread bear i really appreciate it. god knows i need all the guidance i can get =]

    UPDATE ON MY FIRST GROW!!

    Hey Stylus,

    Your girls look beautiful.
    I'm interested in the 'cluster fuck' plant.
    Could you snap some more pics of her?
    Guys: Could it be a polyploid [sp?] one?

    Topping::::::
    top=topping=FIMing
    FIM = Fuck I Missed

    When topping, the idea is that you cut out the top of the plant, and she'll grow two or more spreads in that top.

    From my experience, it takes about 2-3 weeks for the plant to 'recover' from such topping.

    Do a search limited to the Advanced Section... I know there's various kick-ass threads that explain, in much detail and with pictures, what's FIMing and how should it be done.

    IMHO, this is wrong.

    I'm not an expert, but::::
    I believe that you should permit a plant at least 2 weeks (aprox) to recover before 12/12ing them.
    If you top, don't 12/12 immediately.

    And I wouldn't FIM if I'm in 12/12.

    But what the hell... that's the best thing about this... EXPERIMENTATION.

    Best to you all,

    UPDATE ON MY FIRST GROW!!

    stylus if your already doing LST do not top you could kill your plant from the stress LST is made for us who dont want to stress out the plants and to create and promote new growth shoots like what topping does plus with the LST you get to keep your main cola while the other side branches act as secondary cola's.

    when you LST the plant sends out a hormone to make all shoots main shoots resulting in less stress and no recovery time i myslef debated LST vs . topping and im glad i LST'ed i will probly never top a plant ever i will always LST my crop no matter what.

    when you LST go 1 node under the top so she can turn upward easily and bend her right over dont be afraid about breaking her go slow and easy and she should bend over almost right to the dirt.

    Again IMHO, this is wrong.

    I LST and FIM/top without problems.

    Plants haven't died. Ever.

    LST = Low Stress Trainning

    That would be HST.... High Stress Trainning.

    LST is very easy to 'master'.
    I used something called "garden wire". It's a small thin wire, cover with a green plastic 'sheath'.
    It is GREAT for LSTing, as it holds its shape while you work the plants.

    The string you're using?
    Trust me,... you'll be tired of that quickly. Very quickly.

    Try and get the "garden wire". It's wonderful for LSTing plants.

    Just bend her here and there... you'll get the hang of it in no time.
