Cool temps and their affects?
I am running a Hortilux 1K and temps range from 72 to 79 when light and active intake are going. When light and intake are off I am at about 70d, which is fine right now. What is too cold? The reason I ask is because as it becomes colder where I am I can see the dark cycle getting down to the low 60's, even lower in some points of the year, but I can control it and keep it from going under 60d. Any thoughts on ideal temps for dark cycles? During light cycle 70's are ideal IMO, but I am not sure about the dark time. I under stand that towards the end of flowering some allow the temps to drop to promote other qualities such as purple hairs and what not, or is this just a hippy tail.
Any input will be appreciated.

That's true about the heat pads, it's an efficient way to save on electricity instead of heating the whole room with a space heater, just heat the roots, because the plant really can stand lower temps if the roots are happy.

Hmm, that could be a possibility, but 10 to 15 heating pads could become a little harry in a 4x4 approx cabbinet. . I could throw a small box heater in there with a thermostat, but like I said, I should have no problem keeping it above the 60's, but at the same time, it gets 20 below hear in the winter.

I'm not sure what the extreme lows can be, but if you can keep them around 60 I can tell you that you have NOT to worry. Just so you know, I was WAY under that in my last grow. I don't recall the exact temps, but I'm sure it was below 50. If you can, I would try to keep them around 65 while the light is off. It's starting to get nippy around me as well. Even though the nights are starting to drop, I still take my pots out for all day sun
