I'm gonna start growing some bud and thought I'd post my set-up and see what kind of advice you guys could offer. I planted my germinated seeds (pics below) today so this is day 1. They're easy buds from femaleseeds.nl and they seem good for a first grow because of the shorter yield time. I got a 400 watt HPS and, as you can see. it's in a spare wardrobe. The soil is good stuff too, lots of worm casings and perlite, has the Rating: 5

excellent first grow, you seem to know how to get by and its only easier from here, next time look into LST its worth all the effort and gives amazing reults

Actually, after further research....CFLs vs MH. What should I go for the veg stage? I'm not restricted by budget at the moment and would prefer to use the best method & lights rather than just go for the cheap one.

Also, I dunno if anyone read above but I've got 8 weeks til I go on vacation for 2 and a half weeks. Keep in mind that this is my experimental grow and I want to get things cleared up before I go (I suspect my mother will be checking up on my house while I'm away y'see). Is it possible for me to veg for 4 weeks and flower for 4? I know, I know, I'll get a crap yield and crap bud but this is my trial run so I don't mind.

Also, what do you think of my nutes? Any good?

Hudson88 - I'll be back with the weight at the weekend hopefully, and the cured smoke report a week later Next grow is sensi seeds northern lights. That grow is actually about 40 days along and there's 10 plants that haven't shown sex. I just haven't started a log yet. It's pretty boring until they hit flowering anyway. I'll start that log once I finish drying the easybud in the tent.

Invision - funny you should mention LST...all my NLs are being trained as we speak. I'm using the metal-hook-instead-of-string technique though. Looking good so far if I do say so myself. Keep an eye out for a thread about those in the next few weeks.

Hey TBB, that's right, 3 easybuds under one 400w HPS using Biobizz soil and nutes. The lights, nutes and soil were all bought on our very own Capel St! It's not just sex shops any more Well, I also grabbed a few pots in the temple bar place as well.

My only regret is not starting with more seeds

Hi everyone, the weight report is in! I got 2.83333.... ounces dry. This does not include any taster buds or the few grammes of smaller bud I quick-dried. I believe it would have been around 3 ounces even if I hadn't smoked some already Here's a couple of pics of the tried bud going into the curing jars
