You should of trimmed off the leaves and ran two wires across a box with holes on either end to ventilate the buds. Hanging is better since it lets time for the chlorophyl to fully use up all it's energy and put the maximum of juice into the buds. You should dry it for 6-12 days in a dark-cool area... Also, put a ventilating system to move the air so that the moisture can evaporate from the buds and get them crispy dry and ready to smoke!
