I have a great Idea but I don't know what to do about it...

Hey guys, I have no clue where to start with this so I figured you guys may know. Recently I invented a really sweet new type of pipe that I'm 100% positive everyone would want. I made a really crude one already but I dont know how to produce a well made bong that is perfect like the one I invision. I was thinking making it out of acrylic or something.. How would I make custom pieces? I'm also wondering about marketing/producing such a bong... What are the laws regarding this and where would I begin? Would you guys say it's a better Idea to sell the idea if I get a patent or actually try to do it myself. Trust me this bong would be something that every stoner would want. I'm only 18 so I don't know much about this sort of thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm only 18 as well, Exclamation, and I'm not too entirely sure but I think maybe you would have to find a shop that blows glass. You can almost always usually pay someone to make something exactly to your specifications, but you'd have to find one that wouldn't mind making something that COULD be paraphrenalia.

I don't really know how to tell you to sell your pipe, though. I'd think most ways would require money. As they say, "Gotta have money to make money." Ya know?

draw out the idea, with descriptions and notes and what not, get it patented...then if u wanna market the idea urself u hire people to do that or u can make a prototype and sell the patent itself

Thanks for the help, I think I'm going to try to patent the idea... I hope some day you guys will be able to use this sweet invention. If for some reason I give up my quest, I will share my plans with everyone here.

What you can do is look for top bowl/bong making companys..find one nearest you .. after getting that info make the bong as best as you can.. Melt down objects. Use bits from older bongs..try to make it as best as you can.. Present it to them. If they like it they will pay for to market the bong.. and you get a % of the income generated from sales
