Actually it's been documented that a few of the main beams supporting the towers were damaged when a plane crashed into the building, causing jet fuel to ignite an inferno with temperatures so high it's mind boggling. After a good hour of burning, the beams were weakened from the fires, and gave way with the help of gravity. I don't know if you know this, but jet fuel is very strong, and helps to make one hell of a fire. The buildings then DID pancake, and if you had stayed in school long enough to receive your GED, you might know that, or at least how to conduct yourself as someone who knows what they're talking about.

Krogith, you and others need to watch "Nova" on PBS tonight to see the story of the collapse of those buildings. Another excellent and thoroughly researched show, "9/11: Anatomy of a Collapse," has also been playing on A&E, the Discovery Channel and the History Channel at various times. I'm sure this sort of accurate, well researched programming probably won't convince any of the conspiracists because they're not intelligent enough to discern the difference between decent and bogus sources. But I still recommend these shows. They explain precisely how and why the buildings fell the way they fell, among other things.
