mh vs hps
ok I have a 400 watt mh light that i will be using for veg growth, but i was thinking about buying a 150 watt hps for flowering. My question is would i get better flowering from the 400 watt mh because it has more output or would it be better to use the 150 watt hps because it has a better spectrum for flowering?
thanks in advanceyoungcity Reviewed by youngcity on . mh vs hps ok I have a 400 watt mh light that i will be using for veg growth, but i was thinking about buying a 150 watt hps for flowering. it's hard to say man. but you really dont want blue spectrum on your flowering plants and you also dont want such low wattage too.
I would say go for a bigger HPS (it's not much more to upgrade) because thats when power really countsGreat website www.beansandbarley.com

Both would be good, you will get more per watt with a HPS but its allot less watts. get a 400W HPS....you could probably find some for around $100 if you look hard enough.

my advice. If you are deciding between two lights say 250w and 400w go with the bigger (As long as you can afford) b/c more light more buds and if you ever decide to grow more you'll have the capacity.
