I used to love thunderstorms, but had an icky experience camping once. Me and like 30 others get together now and then for 2 days of camping. Well, I rode my motorcycle down once. A thunderstorm came up, and it was huge, lightning everywhere, booming thunder, raging rain.

So, everyone decides, screw this camping plan, this SUCKS, so they start piling into their cars. Me, I had taken some acid, and I was tripping balls, and didn't think it seemed very safe to ride my motorcycle through a raging thunderstorm while tripping my ass off (the lightning kept etching itself across my eyeballs). My friends all offered to take me back with them, but then I'd be leaving my nice, fairly new motocrycle sitting in the middle of a field 60 miles away from pretty much anywhere. I couldn't do it, so I stayed alone in that dark field quietly tripping and occasionally going 'oooo' or 'ahhh' at the bigger lightning strikes, enduring the pouring rain until morning, then drove back soaking wet and freezing and exhausted.

I still give my friends shit for leaving me out in that field that night! (But to be fair, they did offer me a ride out of there.)

So now, I like nice, pleasant weather. Sunshine, comfortable temperatures, not too much humidity or lack of it, something good to drink, and some munchies. I'm like a pot plant now!
