frivolous was the first to point it out. you DO have rights. just say "can i go now" etc. even if he still searches the car, you can get it thrown out in court.

yah i hear ya brother but it wasnt my car so if it was my car i wouldnt have let him search it but i was sitting on the ground and next thing you know the cop is searching the car i guess the kid said it was ok

i'm not sure if this has been said, considering I get tired of reading sometimes, and need to post what I think before I forget it. I have seen people refuse a search of their car so the cops proceeded to place them under arrest for one charge or another and than search the car. It all depends on if the cop is corrupt or not and how he feels about such substances. But denying a search doesn't always mean they won't find another reason to search your car. It's fucked up but it happens.

Got my fine today had to bring my parents down to sign for it cost me around $425 which i think is alot for me since i have no job but it could have been a lot worse

All this "I know my rights...I have the right to remain silent" shit just makes you look more suspicious. Basically...YES you do have those rights...and YES you should take advantage of them when possible but do not just OUTRIGHT recite your rights to the cop...that shit makes the cop think, "Why the fuck would an innocent dude be all up on his right and shit...unless its preperation"

Plus, I've heard of cops saying they hate it when kids think they have rights, blah blah...the fact of the matter is you're braking the law and it has become pretty obvious.

Just be chill...don't consent to any searches, but be polite about it...don't get all beligerant or defensive.

Work the cop...tickle his balls...whatever you gotta do...MAN UP.

Who the fuck cares if we're breakin' the law, ain't hurtin' no one, and just tryin' not to get hurt ourselves. Cops are there to harm you, your rights are there to protect you. We have rights for a reason, to balance it out.

well put brah..thats wha i was pretty much tryin to say...if they wanna search u they will..no matta wha...consent/probable cause or not...they will if they want...and when u go to court nothin u can do...who the judge gonna believe...some one that got caught wit sum bud, pipe..etc... or the cop? tha cop fo sho......its all a bunch of BS!!!!...like u said..its f*ked up, but it happens
