i love clapton. hes playing at meriweatehr on oct 10th and i wanted to go, but i dont think ill get the chance to.

Anyone ever heard the soundtrack Calpton did for the movie Rush? Most of it is instrumental, and pretty mellow, but it's got some great Clapton guitar. Great music to just chill out to. It also really seems to go great with a long drive through the desert, with a joint too, of course.

Clapton also played guitar on Roger Water's first post-Floyd album Pro's and Con's of Hitchhiking. Definitely a different sound than Gilmour but it's cool because you can tell it is Clapton playing. He has a fairly distinct sound, not just some other generic guitar player or, even worse, someone trying to sound like Gilmour.
