Who else can relate to his lyrics?

"Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please."

Dammit, I need to get some clapton. I can relate to a lot of lyrics from bands from the '70s, I can probably relate to clapton lyrics.

    Any suggestions for clapton albums/songs?

Clapton didn't write "Cocaine". J.J. Cale was the author.

His playing on the 1960's John Mayall and the Bluesbeakers album is some of his best, and most of the Cream albums are very good. The album by the group Blind Faith is nice, also - very relaxing music.

Yes, I agree, that's why I stay away from his "solo" stuff. I especially hate that "Tears from Heaven" song, and most of the stuff from his earlier solo work "Layla".

I'm dating myself, but I saw Cream in their "Farewell Tour" at Madison Square Garden, in 1968. It was good, but their singing was off-key for the opening song which was, I believe, "White Room". We left during the drum solo on "Toad", because it was extremely late and the show got boring. They used a revolving stage, which made it sound terrible.

The album by Cream, "Wheels of Fire" has some good performances from this tour, fortunately none of them were from the MSG show. I think that the MSG show is available on bootleg.

layla is his only good solo song but still after it breaks off from the main song it drags on too long

and his version of knockin on heavans door is horrible
