I do a lot of writing. I take an idea that I have read and expand it by paraphrasing and adding my own spin. Ideas can become reality when enough people believe in them. I just look at the idea from many angles and others who read shall then have their own angles to add to the mix. Politics to me is just a passing interest. I prefer psychology and to a lesser extent philosophy. Socrates said "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." My interpretation of this is that knowledge is infinite and what we know is equivalent to nothing. This to me means that there is always something to learn. I may know "everything" on a subject but in reality I know nothing.
