Communism fails when you fail to establish communism. Communism is, by definition, a stateless classless society, and I think the anarchists have a much better idea how to get there than the authoritarian Leninists did. Instead of giving the wealth of society to a government bureaucracy (and thus propagating what is essentially just a state-run version of capitalism), we want to turn control of society's wealth directly into the hands of the people.

ive done much reasearch on communism so please dont educate me. it fails because inside us all, we need somthing more. and it is at this point that communisms "perfect society" all comes crumbling down. every man lies, cheats steals, and wants more then his fellow man. communism is an ideal that fell out for a reason.

So...the solution is to reward the greedy? To give power to those who crave power over their fellow man? That's just crazy. The idea that the people are too stupid or too corrupt to control their own society has been embraced by every enemy of democracy throughout history.

Communism isn't about making a perfect society, no more than the abolition of slavery or the revolutions against monarchy were aimed at creating perfect societies. It's just about making society better by abolishing unjust forms of exploitation and oppression. Communism is firmly grounded in materialism, not utopianism.

I think that communism would work if humans could learn to be that way. But the thing is that humans naturally are the way we are now. People want more for doing more. The idea that everybody contributes to society in some form no matter what they get is great, but humans will never think that way. I dont think what we are doing now is rewarding the greedy, but we are just using a system that works the most with the type of society we have now. It's better to have a system that works for the society we have now then to use one that forces humans to think in a way that is not natural. I also do not think that wanting to have more is greedy, it is also just a natural thing. Again, I am not against communism, in fact, I think it is a great idea, but i understand it could never work.
